Thanksgiving day
It is a traditional day of family or friends gathering for a meal, that normally consists of turkey, sauce & vegetables. It observed on the 4 th Thursday of November.
First Thanksgiving Day was held in 1598 at Texas. It became common during the 17th century, when a rain celebration held in 1621 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. It was first officially celebrated in 1789 in the United States.
In spite of the fact that the American idea of Thanksgiving created in the settlements of New England, its roots can be followed back to the opposite side of the Atlantic.
As a yearly festival of the harvest and its abundance, besides, Thanksgiving falls under a classification of celebrations that compasses societies, mainlands and centuries.
